Just bought a Moto G8 Power. This could not be selected on the drop down list as it’s only just gone on sale. A quick email and in less than half an hour and I could select it. I hand a discount code which couldn’t be entered, but has been applied post purchase and a refund given. I realise that they want my custom but at least the issues were sorted quickly. I hope I never have to claim, but if I have to, I expect a similarly excellent service!

Made my first gadget claim ever and was worried as a lot of reviews of this insurer are really bad here. Made my claim three days ago and was asked to provide ownership and loss report which I did. Didn’t hear back so called this morning and was referred to (directgroup) who provides insurance payouts. I spoke with Hayley and she was great and efficient she processed my claim on the phone and took £75 excess insurance. My watch was only covered for £400 when the new watch was going to cost £429 so they gave me a £400 voucher from curry’s and advised me to buy it by paying extra £30 myself which was fine. I received my voucher after 30 mins and I am happy. Thanks for sorting out very quickly. I would recommend them for gadget cover.
I've never come across a more deceitful and underhand company than tinhat and the entire direct group. The company motto is 'profit first'. Quite happy to take my premium then messed me around for months after I had to make a claim. I am still without a working phone and having to take them to the financial ombudsman. Be warned: they will ignore you and come up with excuse after excuse.I would give zero stars if possible. Avoid the whole direct group
So far everything is fine, the pricing is competitive and communication has been solid. I have just made a claim for the first time as I've cracked the front and back of my S8. They dealt with my claim very quickly and gave me all the information I needed they've made this experience very smooth and easy for me ... Now I just await my device :)
