Put your money to work fighting climate change. Target 6% annual returns investing in companies that provide solar energy access to African families. Start with as little as £50. Capital at risk.

A great way to invest in poorer countries and a good rate of return. Always kept up to date from Energise Africa of investments, repayments are on time and appears to be a well run organisation
Well structured investments that have good impact. It would be perfect if they avoided some minor jurisdictional hiccups in the past and bring more deals through, since they tend to be fully subscribed in less time than it takes to read a full prospectus.
Energise Africa consistently says "Don’t invest unless you’re prepared to lose all the money you invest." Too true. Since Jan.2022 I've invested small amounts in a dozen solar projects across different countries. Two have now paused repayments due to liquidity issues and one is being liquidated with losses expected. In two others my investment is so recent that I can't yet assess their performance. So only about half my schemes to date are meeting their bond repayment schedules. This means it's unlikely that interest on the ones repaying will offset expected losses on the projects that are not. My appetite for reinvesting returns is fading fast. Energise Africa's data show that £6.5m, or 18.7% of total borrowing to date, was overdue at Feb.1 2023. You need a strong stomach for risk before considering an IFISA or similar in this sector.
This is a first class investment for the investor and I hope for the project. The backup documents are complete and comprehensive and tell the investor everything they might want to know. Transferring the money online could not be simpler.
Good work, but communications about new investments could be more helpful. e.g. by giving available ISA balance for investment at an early stage
